Hello, my name is Maria Robinson and I'm an Assistant Professor in the Behavioral Science group at the University of Warwick's Psychology Department.

My primary research interest is in combining empirical work and formal modeling to study attention, memory and higher-level cognition (e.g., decision-making/metacognition). I'm also interested in topics on best practices in measurement and theory assessment in psychology.

I was an NRSA postdoc fellow in Timothy Brady's lab at the University of California, San Diego, and received my PhD in Psychology in 2019 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. While at Illinois, I completed my dissertation project under the supervision of Aaron Benjamin and collaborated with David Irwin as well as Michel Regenwetter.

Before doing PhD work, I was a visiting scholar in Ezequiel Morsella's Action and Consciousness Lab, and before that I completed an MA at the University of Chicago and BA at the University of Iowa.
